Ms. Arisa Matsubara is transforming retired public buses into spaces for relaxation. Public buses are regularly replaced with newer, more eco-friendly models. By repurposing these retired vehicles while preserving their original exteriors and retaining elements of their interiors, she has created an ‘extraordinary’ sauna space within a vehicle that once symbolized the ‘ordinary’ routine of commuting to work or school.
